‘96 RARE PURPLE SPARKLE EPIPHONE LES PAUL STANDARD LIMITED EDITION
I refer to it as, “ HER PURPLE MAJESTY”
27 years old(28 in November)plays like a dream!!
Epiphone made a limited run of custom sparkle guitars in the mid-to-late 90s that were Made in Korea. The colors released in limited numbers were: Blue Flake, Silver Flake, Red Flake, Gold Flake, Green Flake, and the highly sought-after Purple Flake. The guitars produced in Korea have "Gibson" in-scripted on the truss rod cover. The Korean built Epiphone Les Pauls were some of the best due to better suppliers of wood at the time, which makes a difference in sound. The guitars produced were known to have a slightly deeper, richer sound.
Very rare 1996 Epiphone Les Paul in Purple Sparkle. These were made for 1 year in this colour and the paint job is phenomenal, pictures really do not do it justice, i have tried to take photos under a lower light to show how much it sparkles but it looks even better in person. In excellent condition with not a mark on the front, some small marks on the back but that's to be expected from a 27 year old guitar. Plays and sounds amazing, plays better than numerous Gibson's I've played. Has been professionally setup at Action Sound with a great low action to it.
